What if I only have one resume?

It still works. Upload the one resume you have and PatchWork will extract your career history into a master profile. From there, it generates tailored resumes for any role. When you find additional documents — cover letters, a LinkedIn PDF, an older resume — you can add them at any time and your profile will update.

Does PatchWork write the resume or do I fill in a template?

PatchWork writes the full resume from scratch based on your career history and the job description you provide. You don't enter a single bullet point manually. The AI selects the most relevant experience from your profile and writes tailored content for that specific role.

Does PatchWork use my data to train its AI?

No. PatchWork uses Anthropic's Claude API, and Anthropic's API terms explicitly prohibit using customer inputs and outputs to train or improve AI models. Your resume data is transmitted to Anthropic only to generate your requested output and is not retained by Anthropic after that request completes.
